Magdalena is the joint Head of the Patents and Trade Marks Department. She is a graduate of the Department of Chemistry, University of Warsaw of Technology. She gained experience working at the Industrial Chemistry Institute. She also graduated from the Post-graduate Studies of Industrial Property Rights Studies at the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw. She is registered at the Polish Chamber of Patent Attorneys in Warsaw.
She specializes in the preparation of patent descriptions in areas such as: chemistry, pharmacy, mechanics, electronics and patent research. As a doctor of technical science, she has extensive knowledge in the field of organic chemistry. She has held an academic position at the Industrial Chemistry Institute in Warsaw. She is the co-creator of 7 patent-protected inventions. She prepares national, European and international patent applications (EP, PCT). She advises in matters relating to the validation of European patents in the fields of chemistry, biotechnology, pharmacy and medicine. She conducts proceedings before patent offices: the Polish Patent Office (UPRP), the European Patent Office (EPO), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). She represents Clients in dispute proceedings before administrative (Voivodship Administrative Court, Supreme Administrative Court) and common courts in civil cases regarding the infringement of patent rights. She prepares legal opinions relating to infringements of intellectual property rights.
She supports Clients in fulfilling programs organized by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP) and the National Centre for Research and Development in Poland (NCBiR).
She is the author of many academic publications relating to chemistry and intellectual property. She has been a speaker at many conferences and training courses relating to the patent protection of inventions, including during the Life Science Open Space forum 2018.
Magdalena is recommended in Intellectual Property by Legal 500 EMEA in 2019.
